Cursive Handwriting Worksheets

Cursive letters are generally not presented in alphabetic order. By grouping similarly-shaped letters, your child will find them easier to learn.

Start with the round letters as follows:

a, d, g, q, and c sheets for the left- or right-hander as well as worksheets.

Next concentrate on the letters based on the letter 'i':

i, u, w, and t sheets for left- and right-hander along with worksheets.

Then have your child learn letters with loops:

e, l, h, k, b, f and j sheets for the left- and right-hander as well as the worksheets for this letter grouping.

Then teach the letters based on the letter 'n:'

n, m, v and x sheets for left- and right-hander and applicable worksheets.

The remaining letters combine skills already mastered:

p, r, s, o, y and z sheets for left- and right-hander and worksheets.
